The Indian Premier League is the largest T20 cricket competition in the world and the designs don’t disappoint either. I have ranked all of the 13 jerseys from the 10 teams. The Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals & Royal Challengers Bangalore all have an alternate jersey and I have included them in this ranking.
13 – Mumbai Indians
It’s because of the shiny gold on the side panels and sleeves. I’ve never liked it and always thought it looked tacky. The jersey is pretty bland as well with not much going on.
12 – Delhi Capitals
If you look closely at the design your eyes will start to go funny and could bring on a headache. The tiger print paired with the blue, red gradient is a bit of an eyesore.
11 – Lucknow Super Giants
I bet you’re starting to wonder if i hate blue and red jerseys after the bottom 3 are mainly blue and red. I don’t hate them, i just think these ones aren’t executed particularly well. Also the shiny gold piping destined it for the bottom.
10. Gujarat Titans – Charity
The special jersey has been worn to raise awareness about cancer. The initiative was started in 2023. Lavender is the universal symbol representing support against all forms of cancer. While I love the meaning behind the jersey, on the field with lavender pants, it nearly looks like Gujarat are playing in their whites as the lavender is light.
9 – Kolkata Knight Riders
A lovely shade of purple but the shiny gold trims put me off this jersey once again. I wish I had some more in depth comments, but it’s that shallow for me.
8 – Punjab Kings
I really liked this jersey when i first saw it but the more i look at it, the less it grabs me. The design is great but on the field, it gets lost and looks a bit plain.
7 – Royal Challengers Bangalore – Home
I think the gradient shade works really nice with the blue fading into red. Delhi went for a similar blue to red gradient, but it didn’t work for them while it does with RCB. The sponsor is integrated nicely which always helps.
6 – Gujarat Titans – Home
Even though it’s the same design as the charity jersey that I ranked in 10th place, the dark navy works better with the gold accents and design.
5 – Rajasthan Royals – Charity
Rajasthan’s charity jersey is called #PinkPromise. It is a joint initiative by RR and RRF to leverage cricket for women-led transformation in rural Rajasthan. The all-pink jersey includes solar-inspired patterns and the names of women supported by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation. The design reflects the campaign’s core message – “Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai.” It’s a cracking design, but the only thing that brings it down is the shade of yellow used. It doesn’t work well with the deep pink.
4 – Chennai Super Kings
No other team has yellow in their arsenal and Chennai have put out a lovely looking jersey. With the blue accents and lion design on the front, it all works together well. The Etihad sponsor is integrated nicely and that lifts the jersey to a higher ranking.
3 – Royal Challengers Bangalore – Alternate
The blue/green gradient works a lot better than RCB’s blue/red home jersey gradient. It’s official name is ‘Go Green’ as the jersey is made from recycled materials and I’m all for recycling, so it’s worked it’s way into 3rd place.
2 – Rajasthan Royals – Home
Another team, another gradient, but the deep purple and pink are paired perfectly and it’s a stunning looking jersey. There’s not much to add other than it’s my 2nd favourite jersey of 2026.
1 – Sunrisers Hyderbad
A deep orange base with a black geometric design all over pushes the boundaries and is instantly recognisable. Yes, it’s bold, but that’s what Twenty20 cricket is all about. Big, bold and extravagant and more teams should take a leaf out of the Sunrisers book.
